The design of the National Flag of Algeria is derived from the standard of Emir Abdel Kadir
in the 19th century consisted of two equal vertical bands, green and white, while
being inspired by the flag of the Algerian Regency from the 16th to 19th
century, which was a white crescent and star on a red background. However, for
most of its history is unclear. It is also thought to be based on a flag
created in 1928 by Messali Hajj nationalist leader. White, green and red, with
the star and crescent was used historically in Islamic countries.
Algerian ships fly the national flag as they are taught,
except vessels of the Algerian navy, using the national flag charged with two crossed
red anchor in the township as the flag of the navy.
The image of the West is pale green and silver; a crescent
and star of mouths.
Unlike many African flags, the characteristics of the flag
are set precisely, is described as:
A green and white box embossed with a red star and a red
crescent ... the green must be a composition of equal yellow and blue with a
wavelength of 5.411 and the position 600 on the normal spectrum. The red must
be pure, indecomposable primary color, and should not contain the blue gradient
and yellow should be with a wavelength of 6562 and 285 position on the normal
